What Women Want? Affiliate Marketing Dating Tips
A lot of us affiliates are men, and a lot of us screwup our real life dating, so what makes us any better trying to advertise dating to women? I can tell you it’s probably a lot worse!
This post will specifically talk about advertising dating ads to women, and the psychology behind it. While other marketers find a pic of a guy on google images, title it “Find Men Tonight” and throw up their campaign, you’ll be 10 steps ahead with an actual game plan that will super-size your conversions.

You can bet that with affiliate marketing being dominated by males, that the women dating scene is a lot more untapped then the male dating scene.
Advertising to women and dating in real life are very similar. Who’s the best at meeting women in real life? Pickup artists are! ..and you want to be using some of their tactics in your ads.
Finding Your Target
Do not target your campaign to women of all ages, you have to find your target market. Without doing this your ads will lose relevance and appeal. So for this post lets say were advertising to women with no children who are 30-40 years old.
Things Women 30 – 40 Like?
I’ve done some research, and whether women agree to this or not most of this stuff women are born with, it’s in their psyche and no matter what they say it’s 95% of the time true.
- Women are programmed to like children, and men who like children
- Women like security, security comes from money, soo women like money
- Women want attention and to feel special/unique
- Women like shopping, dancing and sex
So this is part 1 into creating your ads/campaign. You need to use these things that attract women somehow within your campaign.
Lets Talk About Images
Obviously a key role into getting the CTR you want is finding the right images, sure you can find a good looking face, but that’s just boring. This is where you want to think like the pickup artists you see on TV! Their techniques work very well no matter how stupid you think they are.
Some ideas:
- A man with a giant (interesting) hat
- A man with thick black sunglasses
- A man dressed up in a costume
All these ideas have to be played out well, throwing up a man in a barney costume probably won’t do what you want, but a man in a Jack Sparrow costume just might. So be smart about this.

All these headlines are catchy and different, it’s just like dating in real life! Stand out with something unique/funny and you will be rewarded. Compare these ad headlines to “Find Men Now” or “Free Profile For You” ..they just don’t compare

“This Man Wants 20 Kids!”
“My Names Hartley and I’m A Fireman”
“Last Chance; Becoming a Priest Tomorrow”
“3 Things Men Hate!”
You can take these headlines and build whole campaigns around them. Their the beginning for brand new angles to take to your campaigns!
Dating (Targeting Women) Landing Page
Your landing page doesn’t need to ‘stand out’ as much as your ad. You’ve lured in the woman and now it’s time to show her your real side, and get her to signup.
6 main landing page tips
1. Take the core idea of your ad and make sure it’s relevantly placed on your landing page
2. Give her 1 simple benefit that lets her know why’s she’s there and why she should signup now – this should be your main big headline.
3. Create a sense of urgency to signup (not a 10 second countdown timer, but something subtle that lets her know “now is the right time!”).
For example:
Right above the call to action you could put a small ad of ‘the perfect man’, and it could say see my profile instantly on the other side of the page.

4. Have 1 simple goal throughout the landing page. The last thing you want is anyone getting confused, so keep your landing page direct, simple, and flow right into the ‘end goal’ (which is the signup).
5. Show options of multiple men with profiles they can see
6. The best designed page graphically doesn’t mean the highest conversions!
