How I Made $7,818.80 in 1 week and $60k+! Case Study
I just posted a long version of this on some forums, so i thought i’d share it on my blog!
How I Made $7,818.80 in 1 week and lot more from this 1 campaign.
Below is one of my campaigns that made me $8,000/week or so for a few months. I’m going to show you how to duplicate it.
The campaign info:
Offer: Twilight related (vampire/wereworlf IQ mobile quiz)
Traffic Source: Facebook Ads
I did not use a landing page for this campaign at first. I Direct linked from the facebook ad to the twilight IQ quiz.
Screenshot of the Twilight – Vampire/Werewolf IQ Quiz:

Facebook Ads:
Facebook ads is an easy system to target specific demographics with your advertisements. For this campaign i knew my target market consisted of females 14-22. If i wanted to go broader to get more traffic (which i did) then i targeted Females 14-50. There are a TON of moms who love twilight.
So now i know my target market, so it’s time to login to Facebook Ads and create my campaign

As you see in the screenshot above:
-I was targeting US only. (The offer only accepts US traffic)
-Age 14-50 like we discussed.
-Females only
-Left everything else open.
Leaving me with 48.9 million people who fit my target market who will be seeing my ad. Thats a LOT of revenue potential!
I now created my ad.

After some preliminary testing, i started raking in the cash.

2 Important Things
1. This campaign was from the end of 2009, during the 2nd twilight movie craze. This campaign is still gold because twilight 4 is on it’s way, releasing Nov. 18, 2011. Thats over a year of twilight fans awaiting the new film. So as you can see Twilight isn’t going anywhere.
2. Facebook doesn’t allow mobile campaigns anymore, but if your creative enough, you could get around them for at least a while to make some decent cash! Theres also PLENTY of other places to buy traffic!
This campaign is still able to make boatloads of cash, be creative.
Below is a ZIP of all the images i used that had the highest CTR after over $20,000 in testing! (CTR = Click Through Rate)
I’m only giving this away so i can get some publicity to my blog, usually this part of information sharing doesn’t happen. So spread my blog around because this is a gift!

Using Keywords:
Is something i did at the beginning, but didn’t continue doing. Even though the keyword potential was huge the traffic dried up within 3 weeks and i found that i yielded very similar profits without keywords targeting females 14-50.
Some of those images got me clicks as low as 3 cents/click! Which brings me to the next thing to discuss. CPC vs CPM.
For this campaign this is key. You can pay per: Cost Per Click (CPC) or Cost Per 1000 Impressions (CPM).
You want to pay (CPM) This means you pay a set price lets say $0.25 per 1000 impressions. Then your goal would be to get 5 clicks per every 1000 impressions. Meaning you would only pay 5 cents per click. If you do a CPC pay model, your click prices will be a lot higher then 5 cents a click! Resulting in you making less money.
What does CTR mean?
CTR: Is how many times your ad is clicked within 1000 impressions.
Examples:
10 clicks in 1000 impressions = 1% CTR
2 clicks in 1000 impressions = 0.2% CTR.
There’s a lot of stuff i missed in this post, but it covered all the basics of how to get started with a very simple profitable campaign. Take this campaign and mix it into other niches, you’ll make more $$ taking this campaign and twisting it into your own niche campaign.

Awesome case study!! I’ve learned a lot from this post!! Thanks for sharing!!
i want learning with u can teach me ?
congrat, 993 clicks and $7818 sales. Great work!
Very cool.
That’s awesome bro, but just wondering why you haven’t said anything about how much you spent total up there (profit, not just revenue), why you blocked out the clicks column (I was able to derive your clicks from the imp. and CTR % data you didn’t block out (clicks/36) x 100 = 142,869.44%) clicks = around 51500 clicks. If its important for you to hide that data for whatever reason (to hide the low 2% ctr rate perhaps?), you might want to hide the other columns too bro. Just saying.
Either way if those are still only 5 cent clicks you’ve got a lot of profit there. ballin’
Thanks, I didn’t want to give out my exact profit, now that i look back on it i don’t really know why. Either way you got it spot on with that equation. Didn’t even know that was possible. Good deduction.
wow great case study. Just found this blog from digital point. thanks!
i like it
Hi,
May I know what network you were promoting?
I would also like to try what you did
Now that is just awesome!
Do you still use facebook though to make some good money? If so, what are you doing now?
Thanks
JASON
What was the affiliate program you choose? Did you have users submit and email before their results, or did you make them click your affiliate?
Question.. I appreciate the info, and this approach is very educational. However, I was looking at Neverblue’s Acceptable Use Policy, and saw this:
Message Boards, Classifieds, etc.
Affiliate must not place Neverblue ad codes on, advertise or otherwise promote any offers via third party website internal communications systems, message boards, chat rooms, or free classified sites including but not limited to MySpace.com, Facebook.com, Tagged.com, Craigslist, Backpage, Yahoo Answers etc.
I don’t know which network you used in your demo, but you recommend Neverblue for beginners on one of your other pages, and they explicitly forbid something like what you explain above.. So… I mean, can you respond to that, or clarify?
I would love to respond to your comment.
Your 100% wrong!
“third party website internal communications systems, message boards, chat rooms, or free classified sites”
Neverblue is talking about advertising their affiliate offers on “FREE” websites such as; kijiji, or Facebook Marketplace, or Facebook Messages or Myspace Message boards. THEY ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE FACEBOOK ADS PLATFORM.
how do you get 5 cent clicks on such piss poor ctr
Ok, I realize I dont’ really know what I am talking about here so I have a question.
I don’t understand where you were making money from? Did you earn money for everyone who visited the site? I don’t see any mention of how you made a profit. What was actually sold/bought? I just don’t understand.
it looks like it was a pay per lead, so he probably got paid for collecting names / email addresses.
Very cool, I’m just finding this now, have you seen similar results with current Facebook ads? I know they’ve implemented a lot more TOS etc.
Seems pretty nice. Will take a shot today. These tutorials always amaze me. Thanks.
